The French word Boudoir refers to a woman’s private dressing area. It is a private space that she can use for her own personal purposes. Boudoir photography can also be described as intimate photography that is taken solely for the subject. Boudoir is a unique form of photography that can really bring you confidence for years to come, and document the side of you that not many people get to see, to look back on later in life. Boudoir photography is often referred to as glamour or fashion photography. However, Annakyi photography has a distinct style, and we are ready to help you see through your vision! We are located in San Antonio, with a full private studio including many bed and couch settings, and can’t wait to take your photos.

Who Will Be At My Boudoir Session?

We understand and respect your privacy, so only Annakyi Dial herself will photograph your boudoir session without assistants, in the Annakyi Photography Studio in San Antonio, Texas, or on location by request.

What Can I Wear During My Boudoir Shoot?

You definitely do not have to be too exposed to make an intimate boudoir photo. Wearing your partner’s clothing item, covered in fabric, or short shorts and snuggly sweaters is such a vibe too! We do recommend bringing some lingerie, but we can shoot a beautiful boudoir album for you in your birthday suit, or much more covered, the allure is often in the mystery!

There are many styles and types of boudoirs. The classic boudoir looks include dramatic (low-key), luminous, playful, and vogue… but quickly becoming a second classic is Bridal Boudoir! Shooting with soft airy light to flatter any person, using many tricks learned over the last decade of wedding and bridal photography, Annakyi Photography has mastered this as well. There are many new boudoir photography options as well, including vintage, pin-up, couples boudoir, and maternity shots! Will My Boudoir Photos Be Posted Online?

Heck no! Not without your explicit written consent, and even then we will ask per photo before sharing. While we always appreciate the opportunity to share our work, our boudoir images are for you.

Is Retouching Included In My Boudoir Session?

Absolutely! We will show you the back of the camera during your boudoir to make sure you’re confident in how things are looking, aim to really hit your best angles with posing and camera tricks, then anything you aren’t cozy with including cellulite, marks, and wrinkles can disappear or soften to your liking. In Boudoir sessions, we never want to change too much so you don’t look like YOU, but there is no reason we can’t take extra steps for you to be the very best version of yourself in each image!
